Ali restoring armchair

Welcome

Hi, I’m Ali Challis. I would be delighted to carefully restore and bring your cherished furniture back to life. Nothing makes me happier than working away on a client’s commission or creating a bespoke lampshade or footstool with my dog, Molly by my side.

Your cherished chair needs restoring?

Have you inherited your beloved antique chair that now sits in your garage, but you have always dreamed of restoring? I always remember my Grandma sitting on her chair, that I have inherited. This is is what sparked my interest in upholstery.

They hold so many great childhood memories from when growing up, don’t they. It can be worrying though, when it starts to get a little frail and needs a sympathetic renovation to bring them back to life and last forever.

Are you an antique or vintage enthusiast?

Do you love to explore antique fairs and vintage shops to find a bargain or find classic furniture to rejuvenate for your home or pass on for someone else to enjoy? But need a professional upholsterer to work their magic to repair and reinvent your chair or footstool.

How can I help you?

  • “Ali made us a square lampshade recently. She advised us on the best fabric and we discussed different shapes too. She knew we wanted something unique and it is perfect! She's reupholstering a Parker knoll for us too which will match and we can't wait to see it now!”
